More Tiemoue Bakayoko updates
It’s been a whirlwind twenty-fours for Monaco midfielder Tiemoue Bakayoko in the gossip columns.
22-year-old Bakayoko is one of the many stars tipped to leave the Stade Louis II this summer following an incredible season with Monaco.
On Sunday night, Italian outlet Tutto Mercato Web announced that Chelsea have agreed a £35m deal with Monaco for Bakayoko, beating Man United to the highly-prized French asset.
But on Monday further updates have been reported by France Football, who drag Arsenal into the conversation.
What’s the story?
On Arsenal, it’s been revealed that Arsene Wenger met Bakayoko back in November to discuss a possible transfer to the Emirates Stadium.
The meeting happened in a hotel in Paris, while Bakayoko reportedly rejected the offer to join the Gunners.
As for Chelsea, it’s claimed the Blues are the front runners for the midfielder, while Antonio Conte has opened talks with Monaco about the deal.
France Football stop short of saying a deal with Chelsea has been done.
