Tanzania national football team will miss the services of striker Thomas Ulimwengu when they face Botswana and Burundi in international friendly games this week.
The prolific forward, who plies his trade for Swedish topflight side AFC Eskilstuna, is nursing an injury and is currently under the close monitoring of the club’s medical team.
Newly appointed Taifa Stars head coach Salum Mayanga will be relying on poster boy Mbwana Samatta, inform Shizza Kichuya and Simon Msuvato lead his side’s attack as they prepare for the upcoming Afcon 2019 and Chan 2018 qualifiers.
Tanzania will take on Botswana on March 25 at the National Stadium in Dar es Salaam before facing Burundi three days later at the same venue.
The Taifa Stars have a busy year ahead with their first assignment this year, an Afcon 2019 qualifier against Lesotho at home during the period June 5-13.
