"I cannot answer every single press conference about Sergio Aguero," quipped Guardiola ahead of City's trip to Sunderland
Angry Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola refused to talk about the future of star striker Sergio Aguero on Friday.
The City cult figure has seen his first team place come under threat with the arrival of sensational teenager Gabriel Jesus.
Injury to the young Brazilian has brought Aguero back into the first-team fold - and he responded with a blinding show against Huddersfield in the midweek cup replay.
But Aguero admitted after that midweek clash that he wants to talk to Guardiola in the summer to clear up his future.
Not that the City boss was in the mood to talk about the issue.
Guardiola said: “I spoke ten times about that. Ten times.
“You know my opinion. I cannot answer every single press conference about Sergio Aguero.
“He is so happy, I am so happy. We are happy. Ten times I answer. No more please.”
City's Spanish boss maintains Aguero is happy in Manchester
Guardiola takes City to Sunderland on Sunday for his in-form club’s next Premier League outing.
But he will be without injured skipper Vincent Kompany who has still not shaken off his latest minor injury and only returned to training on Thursday.
Guardiola said: “It must not be easy for Vincent, I understand completely, because what happened was in the training session, it was nothing, it was not serious.
Vincent Kompany, right, will miss City's trip to Sunderland through injury
“He’s in the last process, yesterday he trained with us, his first training session, he’s ready to come back.
“Since the last injury, he was one month, a month and a half, fit.
“Of course he didn’t play because it was my decision but he was fit. Hopefully he’ll help us in the last two to three months of the season."
