Philippe Coutinho & Barcelona boys
There was plenty of interest from Liverpool in Brazil’s World Cup qualifier against Uruguay in Montevideo on Thursday night.
The Selecao won the match 4-1 thanks to a hat-trick from former Spurs midfielder Paulinho. Neymar bagged the other while Edinson Cavani scored for the hosts.
Brazil started with Liverpool’s Philippe Coutinho and Roberto Firmino both playing in forward roles.

It’s been a long standing rumour that Barcelona are keen on signing Coutinho from Anfield.
Whether that’s possible, however, it questionable, as the Brazilian recently signed a new long term deal with the Reds, which noticeably didn’t include a release clause. Indeed, some frame the new Coutinho contract as having an ‘anti-Barca’ approach
Yet Liverpool fans are likely to be a little nervous about Coutinho’s intentions after a picture was taken after the Brazil-Uruguay game featuring the Red star chatting away with Luis Suarez and Neymar.
What were they discussing?
