There was tremendous concern for the forward late on in the La Liga clash following what seemed to be a clash of heads with Alex Bergantinos in the 85th minute, Torres hitting his head hard on the turf upon landing.
And Bergantinos later went to visit the former Liverpool striker in the hospital, during which the Spanish striker assured him not to feel bad about the situation.
The Atletico icon was greeted by a swarm of press upon being discharged from hospital
'He is very well and happy. They have told him how he is and he has understood perfectly,' Bergantinos said following his visit, report Africa Headline.
'He told me to be calm and that these things happen.
'He told me that something like this happened years ago.
'
He was calm and even smiling. He remembers an occasion he had and other things, but he does not remember anything about our collision,' Bergantinos added.
