- -Gareth Bale saw yellow for Wales which means he will miss the next game
Seamus Coleman suffered a horrific leg break in a high tackle from Neil Taylor and Martin O'Neill believes Gareth Bale could have been sent off too.
Taylor was dismissed for the incident which left Coleman leaving the field on a stretcher and the right back is almost certainly ruled out of the rest of Republic of Ireland's World Cup qualifying campaign.
Coleman went to hospital on Friday night to undergo surgery and his injury overshadowed a contest that ended 0-0 to leave Wales facing an uphill task to qualify for Russia 2018.

Bale was booked for a late challenge on John O'Shea and he will join Taylor, who has suffered a broken leg himself, on the banned list for Wales' next qualifier in Serbia in June.
But everyone's attention was on Everton's Coleman at full-time. 'He has gone to hospital, it's been confirmed by the doctor that he has broken his leg,' said Martin O'Neill. 'Obviously it's a real blow to him, he's having the season of a lifetime at club level, he's a big player for us and a great character.
'It's a big, big loss to Everton and a big loss to us. But he'll fight back I hope. It puts things in perspective I suppose.
'Apparently it wasn't the best challenge in the world - I haven't seen it. I saw his reaction immediately and it didn't look good. He was holding is leg up and it didn't look good.'
Asked about Bale's foul which occurred second before Taylor's bad challenge, O'Neill said: 'The lads tell me that could have been a red card. I've not seen it.'

O'Shea added: 'Fingers crossed for Seamus. We just have to wait and see. Our thoughts of with him, we know the type of boy he is, and he will come back bigger and stronger. He has a fantastic attitude.'
Chris Coleman said: 'Neil Taylor is devastated himself. He went across to the home changing room but I'm not sure Seamus was there. Neil is not that type of player, he's had a serious injury himself.'
Gareth Bale saw yellow and will miss Wales's crunch match against Serbia next time out
Bale said: 'We knew they would make it difficult for us and we controlled the game in the second half until the red card.
'Given that we played for 20 minutes with 10 men we'll take 0-0. I didn't think mine was a yellow card to be honest, but the referee gave it. What can I do?
'We never wish an injury on anyone, I don't know how bad it is but we all wish him a speedy recovery.'
Ireland are second in Group D, level on points with leaders Serbia and four ahead of Wales.
